The Producer/Sales Manager is a hybrid position who is responsible for event production and will also have sales responsibilities in the role. The Producer/Sales Manager will contribute to the execution of The Launch Group’s companywide strategies while supporting the Company’s mission, vision and values through all that he/she does on a daily basis.

The primary role of the Producer/Sales Manager is to act as the Show Producer; responsible for Client’s content, show flow, entertainment and technical production.  This person will possess the ability to retain clients through their actions and abilities to create and deliver outstanding work product. The Producer/Sales Manager will be task oriented and also support the President & Owner in accomplishing administrative tasks as assigned.  


Create Event Concepts

During the initial stages of the event, the Producer/Sales Manager participates in ideation, collaborating with art and technical directors for the event in order to generate concepts and brainstorm ideas. The Producer/Sales Manager then utilizes extensive experience and event knowledge in order to help develop a plan for the execution of these ideas. They will also review and edit project and event proposals from other team members.

 Manage Budgets

The Producer/Sales Manager is usually responsible for developing and overseeing the event’s budget. Throughout the ideation process they must review proposals for cost and profitability and keep the budget in mind when selecting proposals. Throughout the process of contracting vendors and hiring external staff and talent in a way that aligns with the event budget. He/she may also be responsible for securing funding/deposits for the event production.

The Producer/Sales Manager will ideally have an event/production background and possess the ability to generate Staging proposals from our Production Inventory in real time. A firm grasp of Excel to identify and generate production crew spreadsheets based on Production Schedules, supporting budgetary planning They must be able to approach their work from a multidimensional perspective and thrive working in an environment where there is constant change on a daily and sometime hourly basis. 


  • Schedule and manage kick-off meeting to discuss proposal requirements and to ensure all timelines and actions are agreed to and met in accordance with customer deadlines
  • Conduct risk analysis and contingency planning.
  • Prioritize tasks and estimate how much time they will take so that they are completed on schedule.
  • Organize and categorize information and assignments so that it is easy for others to understand.
  • Communicate diplomatically with team members on the phone, in-person, over email, etc...
  • Improve the processes and tools we use over time, resulting in each proposal being easier and stronger than the one before.
  • Preparing presentation materials.
  • Project management of data management, data analysis and report writing.
  • Timeline and project plan creation and tracking.
  • Note-taking and task management including tracking next steps, assigning tasks, and following up to ensure completion.
  • Attending project meetings into tracking software and organizing them into a useful set of key ideas and actions after the meeting.
  • As possible, working with project teams to create strong first drafts and revisions.
  • Spur of the moment research requests to support last minute client or team needs.
  • Drafting, proofreading or formatting documents, presentations, proposals and other materials as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain proposal schedules and be able to support multiple proposals in parallel.
  • Skilled and proficient desktop publisher, who is hands-on in developing company templates and frameworks, and propose content and graphics concepts.
  • Review and edit technical input for grammar and clarity. Revise and improve technical content.
  • Track and monitor the flow of all documents, from inception to distribution of final copies.  Identify and correct problem areas as they arise.
  • Provide a quality assurance check for all documents.


  • Preferred but not required - Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Technical Writing, Mass Media or other related fields, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of proposal writing/marketing experience in entertainment, hospitality or event production industries.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Ability to learn proprietary Software 
  • Auto Cad skills a bonus
  • Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop, preferred.
  • At least intermediate level user in Excel.
  • Successful candidates must be customer-service oriented, technically savvy, and organized.
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
