KGNA Solutions is recruiting for a Sr. Human Resources Manager for Mahalak Auto Group who owns and operates a very successful multi-generational family business with core holdings in Winter Haven Florida. 

The business is a blue-collar operations oriented work place and the ideal candidate will have heavy experience in recruiting, training and development and managing compliance in a multi-unit work environment.  

The Sr. Human Resources Manager will be responsible for all things Human Resources and have core duties that are comprised of overall department supervision and senior level leadership engagement at large. This role is a “hands on” position that will have responsibilities ranging from recruiting to new employee orientation and support of employee recognition initiatives.

This role is an “engaged” strategic position and it is essential that this person has the desire to cultivate strong workplace professional relationships with colleagues at all levels within the company.

This person will have the flexibility and autonomy to build their "own" HR systems and processes that support the company's overall objectives. 

Core position duties and responsibilities/skills required:

Recruiting

  • all aspects - internal and external
  • all applicable paperwork
  • on boarding - NEO - New Employee Orientation 
  • extremely detailed oriented and proficient in completing all training paperwork in a timely manner 
  • compliance

Organizational Development

  • performance management
  • write/create company policy as needed
  • promote and uphold company culture
  • work with external consultants on HR initiatives

Employee Relations

  • coaching and counselling
  • separation and exit interviews
  • employee communications
  • coordinate employee training

Position Requirements:

  • 7 to 10+ years of related work experience with progressive human resources responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field – preferably human resources or business management –SHRM certification SPHR/PHR preferred
  • In depth knowledge of human resources laws and associated responsibilities – specifically wage and hour, FMLA, privacy practices and laws and experience in working with DOL laws and guidelines.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation, the ability to identify trends in people though the use of data
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating information, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside stakeholders in formal updates/proposals
  • Must be able to impact and influence, think strategically, execute and innovate
  • Must demonstrate “high energy” and be strong in action orientation
  • MS Office and email proficiency
  • MAC proficiency at a minimal or an intermediate level – for the development of training materials preferred 
  • Local store to store travel on a somewhat regular basis

Salary will be commensurate with experience and the range is $75k - $80k.  A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 50 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
