Sr. Human Resources Manager

Location: Kissimmee, FL

KGNA Solutions is recruiting for a Sr. Human Resources Manager for a client that owns and operates a very successful multi-generational family business based in Kissimmee Florida. 

The business is a blue collar operation based work environment and the ideal candidate will have experience in OSHA compliance and safety training. 

The Sr. Human Resources Manager will be responsible for all things HR and have core duties that are comprised of overall department and office management at large. This role is a “hands on” position that will have responsibilities ranging from recruiting to new employee orientation and support employee recognition initiatives.

This role is a strategic position and it is essential that this person has the desire to cultivate strong professional working relationships with colleagues at all levels within the company.

This person will have the flexibility and autonomy to build their "own" HR systems and processes that support the company's overall objectives. 

Core position duties and responsibilities/skills required:

Recruiting

  • all aspects - internal and external
  • all applicable paperwork
  • on boarding - NEO - New Employee Orientation 
  • extremely detailed oriented and proficient in completing all training paperwork in a timely manner 
  • compliance

Payroll/Compensation/Benefits

  • payroll monitoring and management (final approval finance)
  • salary administration & PTO management
  • all aspects of healthcare administration
  • W2 administration

Office Management

  • the majority of responsibilities associated with managing an office of 100+ staff in 4 locations in North and Central Florida 
  • create new employee work stations
  • HR reports - salary, turnover & WC audit
  • clerical HR duties

Organizational Development

  • performance management
  • write/create company policy as needed
  • promote and uphold company culture
  • work with external consultants on HR initiatives

Employee Relations

  • coaching and counselling
  • separation and exit interviews
  • employee communications
  • coordinate employee training

Position Requirements:

  • 3 to 5+ years of related work experience with progressive human resources responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field – preferably human resources or business management –SHRM certification SPHR/PHR preferred
  • Recruiting experience filling technical roles/positions
  • In depth knowledge of human resources laws and associated responsibilities – specifically wage and hour, FMLA, privacy practices and laws and so on…
  • Benchmark, analyze and report on trends identified that impact the ability to attract and retain top tallent
  • Manage the department – making suggestions regarding technology and software, that supports strategic growth through people
  • Assist in the negotiation of vendor contracts and service agreements HR specific
  • Agility – to be responsive and adaptive in an ever changing work environment
  • Oversee the department's operational and strategic planning objectives
  • Responsible for the overall success of all human resources initiatives
  • Must be able to impact and influence, think strategically,  execute and innovate
  • Must demonstrate “high energy” and be strong in action orientation
  • Excellent oral and written skills, with an advanced capacity for effectively developing and presenting critical information to management

Salary will be commensurate with experience and the range is $60k - $70k.  A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 50 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
