Baxter Restoration is continuing to grow and we are actively searching for talented Restoration Technicians who are driven to help those in need through the services that we provide to our customers in the Orlando Florida market.

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setting equipment and monitoring drying systems
  • Removal of damaged flooring or drywall
  • Explain job process and answer customer questions, as needed
  • Perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control
  • Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers
  • Manage job file documentation to ensure complete and accurate project details
  • Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly
  • Respond as needed for calls, weekday/weekend as assigned
  • Operate any and all machinery required to make necessary repairs
  • Drive to customer/client location to make repairs and/or service calls

AUTHORITY:

The Restoration Technician acts within company policies and applicable federal, state and local legislation to do whatever is necessary and make any decisions required to carry out effectively the strategic and operational goals of Baxter Restoration. However, without the approval of the Owner may not:

Commit the company to any capital expenditure, dispose of any company asset, sign any lease, contract or agreement, nor approve any non budgeted expenditure in excess of $100.
Change or revise established policies, procedures and controls
Engage personally in outside business that could conflict with the company’s interests.

Enter into a relationship with any employee, which may have, or appear to have, an adverse effect upon his/her ability to carry out responsibilities of the job

REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma/GED is preferred or equivalent related experience
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings with experience in cleaning/restoration being preferred
  • 2-4 years’ prior experience in building or trade position(s)
  • Ability to problem solve, take initiative to correct situation that require intervention.
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Basic math skills
  • IICRC certifications preferred
  • Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary
  • Respond and assist with emergency calls after hours and as needed

 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to continuously see. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, give & receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color. Must be able to occasionally sit, drive, type, and make fine discrimination in sound.
  • Must be able to regularly lift/carry up to 60 lbs.; occasionally lift/carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and drive to and from work locations.
  • As needed work a varied schedule that could include nights, weekends and holidays.
